Job Summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a highly skilled Market Access Reimbursement Associate to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our Market Access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient listing of our products on the Prescribed List (PL) and driving reimbursement strategies to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reimbursement strategies to support business growth and product listings.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for reimbursement through the PL, RPBS, and PBS via government processes.
  • Produce regular reports on our position related to changes to the PBS and PL, including scenario analysis for strategic planning and budgeting purposes.
  • Partner with commercial and function stakeholders to understand business needs and advise on evidence strategies.
  • Build and maintain the necessary materials to support evidence and value claims in reimbursement submissions.
  • Lead or participate in projects to continuously improve our value proposition and evidence-based medicine approach to commercial programs.
  • Ensure compliance with sound business principles and regulatory requirements in all decisions.
  • Liaise with marketing, sales, industry associations, government bodies, and other stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as biomedical, healthcare, or public health.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in reimbursement application handling, MA, HE, HTA, or proven experience.
  • Knowledge of local healthcare systems, health funding systems, current policies, and trends.
  • Travel 10-25%.
