
Water Systems Designer and Planner

As a Water Infrastructure Planning Professional, you will play a key role in designing and planning infrastructure projects that ensure safe and reliable water supply for communities.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to undertake various technical tasks such as data collection and analysis, hydraulic modeling, GIS/mapping, design drawings, engineering calculations, and reporting to support water infrastructure projects.
- Project Development:
You will participate in the planning phase of projects including feasibility studies, hydraulic capacity assessments, infrastructure augmentation optioneering, and long-term strategic planning for water systems.
- Site Assessments:
You will conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility/constraints. You will also analyze environmental, geological, cultural heritage, and survey data to inform project planning.
- Technical Documentation:
You will prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project approvals. You will ensure project documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration with other Disciplines:
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, environmental, structural, geotechnical, and process engineers. You will communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Professional Development:
You will stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. You will participate in training programs and professional development opportunities. You will seek mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals within the business.

Requirements- Currently in the final year of your degree or with 1-2 years of experience
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Passion for learning and problem-solving
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A good level of computer literacy including MS Word and Excel
- Eligible to work in Australia
