Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Deli Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our store, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh food products, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store's portion control measures.
  • Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day.
  • Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day.
  • Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
  • Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
Requirements:
  • HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
  • The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure.
  • A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
Working Environment:

Our store is a busy convenience store, which provides a professionally operated, customer focussed, working environment for any new addition to our friendly, dedicated team.

About This Role:

This is a full-time/pat-time position. Flexible working hours available. We consider 2 x part-time positions to fill the vacancy. Shift Example: 7am - 3pm, 8am - 4pm, 9am - 9.30pm- 2pm. Mon - Sun (Full-time) 5 over 7 days or (Part-time) 3 to 4 days over 7 days.
