About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to spearhead innovative research in the field of paediatric oncology, specifically focusing on ependymoma. Under the guidance of Professor Brandon Wainwright, this position presents a unique opportunity to establish and lead an independent research group.

Significance of the Research:

Brain tumours represent the leading cause of disease-related fatalities among children in developed nations. Unfortunately, the survival rates for ependymoma have remained stagnant for over thirty years, highlighting the urgent need for advanced research in this area.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive a pioneering research initiative aimed at understanding the biology of ependymoma.
  • Develop and implement novel treatment strategies.
  • For Senior Research Fellows: Enhance your international standing by leading advanced research projects and engaging in high-level service activities.

Funding and Contractual Information:

The end date of the contract is contingent upon current funding arrangements, with discussions regarding continuation occurring prior to the contract's conclusion.
