Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and empathetic Psychologist to join our expanding team. This pivotal role is designed to support and uplift individuals facing mental health challenges that impact their everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting psychological assessments, therapy, and interventions for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Providing crisis intervention and management as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational and external governing bodies' policies.
  • Participating in case discussions, supervision, and continuous professional development.
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of therapeutic programs and services.
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy therapeutic environment adhering to compliance standards and procedures.
  • Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and partner providers to foster strong relationships and continuity of care.
  • Representing the Next Step Psychology and Counselling brand with professionalism.
Requirements

We are looking for a client-focused, empathetic professional with strong clinical skills and a dedication to mental health care. You should have a proven track record in a similar role, such as a Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychological therapy and interventions.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and other relevant technologies.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both with team members and clients.

  • Empathy and approachability, able to engage with clients on a personal level.
  • Initiative and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
