Job Description: Defence Project Coordinator Role

This role plays a vital part in contributing to the success of our clients through:

  • Supporting project managers by leading the establishment and maintenance of Baseline System Standards across the project
  • Providing contract administration assistance to project managers
  • Working with project managers to manage project budgets and cost reporting
  • Actively contributing to all phases of a project through tender, plan, construct and close where needed to support the team
  • Taking responsibility for resources engaged in the projects and liaising with senior management to ensure projects are appropriately resourced
  • Managing any formal project deliverables in line with system standards and project outcomes
  • Management of project requirements including but not limited to:
    • RFIS
    • Chairing meetings internally and externally
    • Project procurement
    • Subcontractor engagement
    • Quality control
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Contract Administration or Project Engineer role in the construction industry (defence specific experience highly regarded)
  • Completed multiple projects start to finish as either a Project Engineer or a Contract Administrator
  • Construction General Induction (White Card)
  • A strong ability to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team
  • A passion for construction with an eye for detail and pride in workmanship
  • Enthusiasm to learn and accept new challenges and skill sets
  • Bachelor in Construction Management, Project Management and/or Cert IV in Building and Construction, highly advantageous
  • Must be an Australian Citizen for access to Defence Bases
  • A clean criminal record
  • Positive can-do attitude and teamwork skills
Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum depending on experience.
