Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Platform Development Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, test and documentation of 9LV Platform components.

The role involves supporting Naval Combat Systems projects using the 9LV CMS computing platform in Australia and worldwide, in collaboration with the global 9LV Platform team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems integration projects that provide proven and advanced capabilities to keep us ahead of today's challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in software engineering, computer science or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with products, development environment and open-source tools used to develop and support the software.
  • Significant experience in software integration, continuous integration/delivery, test automation and DevOps tools and workflows covering technologies such as Kubernetes and Jenkins.
  • Experience in configuring/integrating tools to work together in a Linux system to achieve required outcomes.
  • Significant experience with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker.
  • Significant experience with Linux and programming languages such as Python, Bash and Go.
  • Exposure to at least one software development lifecycle model in a formal engineering environment, preferably defence.
