Job Summary

AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Lawyer to join our client's flourishing high-end property practice. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of high-end residential and commercial property matters, including due diligence, acquisitions, planning, structuring, joint ventures, finance, construction, leasing, management, and sales.

About the Role

As a Senior Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing your own practice and clients, with the support of senior paralegals and junior lawyers. You will also have the opportunity to participate in business development and marketing activities to further grow the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-end property clients and matters, including due diligence, acquisitions, planning, structuring, joint ventures, finance, construction, leasing, management, and sales.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on property law matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Work closely with other members of the property team to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to further grow the practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in property law and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements

  • Admitted lawyer in NSW with a minimum of 4-20+ years of PAE property law experience.
  • Proven ability to highly autonomously manage your own property law files from start to finish, including high-end large-scale/complex residential and commercial property transactions across multiple stages of the development cycle.
  • Strong technical property law skills and knowledge, including drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in business development and marketing, and a willingness to engage in such activities to further grow the business.
  • Ability to relocate to a coastal city in Northern NSW.
