About the Role
This role oversees farming existing accounts, hunting new accounts, and securing large infrastructure outsourcing deals. You will work closely with vertical account managers to proactively pursue targeted accounts and ensure optimal customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Farming of existing accounts and opening new ones.
- Identifying and pursuing large infrastructure outsourcing opportunities in targeted new accounts and existing customers.
- Leading deal engagement with customers, advisors, vertical teams, partners, and delivery teams.
- Developing technical solutions.
- Creating value and differentiated solutions for customers in response to Infrastructure RFIs / RFPs and proactive pursuits.
- Working with customers as a technical advisor for Cloud and Infrastructure services solutions.
- Performing client presentations, due diligence, and transition activities in new infrastructure engagements (where required).
- Translating business and system needs into technical system solutions.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, providing direction and guidance to technical teams working on solution elements of a pursuit.
- Assembling resources and skills to develop technical proposals.
- Assisting in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
Qualifications
- At least 15-18 years' experience in Infrastructure Management, Operations, or Technology Consulting.
- 10+ years' experience as a Cloud and Infrastructure sales person in areas like Datacentre Technologies, Voice and Data Networks, End user technologies, ITSM tools, and Public cloud.
- Prior experience leading large deals and working with sourcing advisors.
- Subject matter expertise in one or more Infrastructure disciplines (e.g., Networking, Datacentre design, Storage, etc.).
- CTO, Director, or higher position in Infrastructure Management / Operations or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Demonstrated understanding of various Infrastructure technologies and ability to articulate key tenets of technology options.
- Excellent project management practices.
- Thorough understanding of Infrastructure / Datacentre outsourcing industry, landscape, key issues, and strategies of major technology players.
- Detailed understanding of clients' infrastructure business processes and relating to clients from a domain / technology perspective.
