**Role Overview**

The Study Manager Fleet and Autonomy is a key leadership position within the organization, responsible for driving the development and optimization of capital investments, as well as the safe delivery of identification, selection, and definition study phases.

This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to manage complex studies in line with organizational policies and statutory obligations while maintaining an overriding commitment to health, safety, and environment.

About You

  • You are a delivery-focused professional with the skills and desire to drive and deliver key outcomes through your leadership, engagement, and collaboration.
  • You will have divergent and convergent thinking skills, a strong understanding of business value, and be adept at stakeholder management, utilizing data and communication style to influence effectively at senior level.
  • Your ability to manage multiple levels of complexity and ambiguity will also be a key strength in this role.
  • You are a compassionate leader with a clear commitment to teamwork, modeling a culture of inclusion, safety, accountability, respect, and recognition.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Mature autonomous haulage projects through front-end engineering/study phases, which includes but is not limited to:
  2. Opportunity framing and assessment of key value drivers.
  3. Concept development, assessment, and selection.
  4. Economic and values-based decision making.
  5. Risk assessment and management.
  6. Development of work plans appropriate to the phase, key decisions, and risk/opportunity mitigation/capture.
  7. Partner effectively with key stakeholders and influence critical outcomes.
  8. The ability to foster and develop out-of-the-box thinking and design in solving complex multi-dimensional problems.
  9. Develop and implement processes and systems to continuously improve the development of asset projects.
  10. Make full use of your broad range of skills in the areas of continuous improvement, technical knowledge, financial acumen, and communication.
  11. Support the development of the study via the functional model and in accordance with our requirements and the minerals Australia projects internal standard.
  12. Identify and contribute to value-optimization initiatives while integrating stakeholder requirements.
  13. Ensure that project risks are identified and actively managed throughout project development phases.
  14. Implement positive communication processes to support project and operational outcomes.
  15. Maintain strong and transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  16. Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
  17. Provide clear and consistent project updates as per organizational routines.
