Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance and customer service excellence across the store. This includes leading and coaching a team of passionate retail professionals, embedding operational consistency, and fostering a culture aligned to our core values.

This dynamic retail leadership position requires strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving targets, exceptional customer service skills, and a genuine interest in home-styling and furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Store Manager to drive sales performance and achieve targets through effective selling of merchandise
  • Work with customers to make their vision for their home a reality - Savvy with the details and provide styling solutions and recommendations, upsell and cross-sell ascertaining customer needs
  • Coach and guide the retail sales team to achieve targets and create a unique shopping experience that delivers exceptional customer service
  • Support with day-to-day store operations including rostering, financial performance, administrative tasks, recruiting and onboarding of new team members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3+ years experience in retail sales with a proven track record of achieving targets
  • Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to coach, guide and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Resourceful with a can-do attitude and ability to solve problems and provide solutions
  • Able to balance customer care, team development and administrative tasks
