Tailings Engineer

This position plays a key role in shaping the direction of our tailings engineering projects. As a Senior Geotechnical Specialist, you will lead technical innovation and guide high-level project delivery. Your expertise in geotechnical insight and strategic planning will be instrumental in growing our reputation as leaders in mine waste and tailings engineering.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance for tailings design studies on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
- Engage with clients and external experts to resolve intricate issues and offer recommendations.
- Support business growth initiatives, proposals, and strategic development.
- Manage risk in the design process associated with cost estimation for feasibility and detailed projects.
- Mentor junior engineers within the team.
- Hold a Bachelor Qualification in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering or similar field, and be Chartered (CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent).
- Have 15+ years of experience leading complex projects and advising clients at a senior level.
- Balance deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen and strong communication skills.
Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in tailings and mine waste engineering is essential. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools is highly desirable.
Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of market trends, client needs, and commercial drivers is crucial for success in this role.
