About the Opportunity

Are you a motivated and experienced IT professional looking for a challenging role in digital delivery? We are seeking an experienced Digital Delivery Manager to join our team in the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with our development teams to deliver new applications and digital solutions, or continuously develop and enhance existing applications and solutions. Reporting to a Director within the Digital Delivery Branch, you will lead a small to medium sized team consisting largely of business systems analysts, software developers and test analysts.

You will be responsible for managing scope, risks and issues, prioritising effectively, and ensuring effective communication with business and ICT stakeholders on all aspects of the solution and/or project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of complex digital solutions in an agile environment, including day-to-day support for the agile development team
  • Engage with business and ICT stakeholders on all aspects of the solution and/or project
  • Manage scope, risks and issues, and prioritise effectively
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge and skills across a wide range of enterprise IT systems, technologies, and capabilities
  • Strong track record of effectively managing scope, risks and issues
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to work and lead others in an environment which is at times ambiguous and subject to evolving requirements
  • Effective communication skills, including adapting to different audiences
  • An understanding of Commonwealth procurement is highly desirable
