Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

This is an exciting role for an Electrical Engineer to take on a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia is necessary.
  • Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, including reviewing and marking up technical drawings and providing construction and commissioning support, is essential.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications, detailed designs, and work packs/scopes of work, is crucial.
  • Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning, and contractor management is desirable.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required for effective communication with clients.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations is necessary.
  • Expertise in the design and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas is highly valued.
  • Expertise in functional safety lifecycle documentations specifically the development of LOPA method from the process safety standard is an asset.
  • Experience conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems, including proficiency in electrical system calculations, is beneficial.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, overseeing and coordinating the work of junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support, is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience working with heavy industry clients in the minerals processing sector is advantageous.
  • Progressing towards Registered/Chartered Engineer status, with RPEQ preferable, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of control systems design is valuable.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy setting is desirable.
  • Experience with studies and FEED is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in workshop facilitation (HAZOP) is an asset.
  • Project management skills are necessary.
