Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description
This role involves conducting daily servicing of all hygiene products & periodical deep cleans, including some installations for new clients, providing support & relief to various IKON Sites in the Cooma region. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting the installation and servicing of equipment (including but not limited to Hygiene or washroom services, which include sanitary & nappy waste, Sharps & Clinical Waste, Soap & Hand Sanitiser, First Aid equipment & consumables)
  • Conducting work in accordance with safe work policies and procedures and within required timeframes
  • Providing support & relief for additional sites
  • Condition reports of assets on site
  • Ad-hoc Service Reports as requested by client
  • Ensuring all work is completed on daily schedules
  • Monthly Stock-take
  • Daily update on wastage

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A positive, 'can do' attitude
  • Reliable, punctual
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Ability to complete manual handling tasks
  • Knowledge of safe & competent operation of cleaning equipment & chemicals.
  • Knowledge of use of hand or power tools (for installations) & cleaning equipment
  • Strong customer service focus & attention to detail
  • Driver's license (vehicle provided), Working with Children Check & National Police Check will be required
