Job Title: Financial Accountant

The position requires assistance in preparing forecasts, management information statements, overseeing office costing and any other analysis as required. Responsibilities include managing inter-company accounting, fixed assets, bank and cash data entry as needed.

  • Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, yearly and three-yearly forecasts based on approved assumptions from management.
  • Generate monthly management information reports, including financial summaries, project summaries, overhead analyses, bank facilities and cash flows.
  • Produce reports on costs summarizing total costs incurred by branches on a monthly basis.
  • Carry out any other kind of analysis as required, including analysis of overheads and turnover.
  • Manage inter-company accounting requirements, including raising monthly debit notes to group companies for expenses/costs incurred by PIL.
  • Coordinate with group accountants to reconcile inter-company balances at month-end and ensure disputes are resolved regularly.
  • Maintain the fixed assets register, calculating depreciation for all asset blocks on a monthly basis and passing required journals for approval.
  • Handle bank advices, bank statements and fixed deposit confirmations in strict confidence and a secure environment.
  • Perform site-data entry and reconciliation tasks.
  • Undertake payroll-related activities, including issuing salary certificates, computing deductions and reimbursements, and addressing payroll queries.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in managing accounts in a large organization.
  • CPA qualification or working towards completion.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly independent, responsible and result-oriented individual with a positive work attitude.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
