This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of accreditation standards and policies affecting medical education, as well as expertise in adult learning theories and practices.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Mater Medical Education team to design, enhance, and maintain high-quality medical education programs that meet the needs of prevocational doctors and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement medical education programs that align with accreditation standards and policies.
- Collaborate with the Mater Medical Education team to design and deliver high-quality educational content.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards and policies affecting medical education.
- Provide expert advice on medical education strategy to senior leadership.
- Lead accreditation processes in partnership with local healthcare facilities and broader networks.
- Manage key relationships with stakeholders, including Queensland Health (QHealth) hospitals and medical education units.
- Coordinate and plan teaching content according to accreditation and facility requirements.
- Support and provide advocacy for prevocational doctors within the program.
- Coordinate the prevocational doctor orientation program.

Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Health, or a related discipline.
- High-level communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in accreditation standards and policies affecting medical education.
- A solid understanding of adult learning theories and practices, including e-learning and interprofessional education.
- Proficiency in using data to drive program improvements and evaluate outcomes.
