About the Role:

The Bar Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests. This includes familiarizing yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Food and Beverage Service: Ensure that food and beverages are served promptly and efficiently to meet customer expectations.
  • VIP and Regular Guest Management: Develop relationships with VIP and regular guests to understand their preferences and requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain control of food service equipment, record breakages, and conduct regular stock takes.
  • Cleaning and Hygiene: Set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the food service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene standards.
  • Team Management: Train and motivate staff members to provide excellent customer service, manage menu and dietary knowledge, and operate within outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines.
  • Accounting and Cash Handling: Ensure accurate guest billing and posting of charges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in a supervisory role within a bar or hospitality setting.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills to manage and train staff members.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional skills in delivering memorable guest experiences and resolving complaints.
  • Beverage Knowledge: Expertise in cocktails, wines, beers, and stock management.
  • Operational Skills: Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and roster management.
  • Compliance: RSA certification and understanding of licensing and health regulations.
