We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our infrastructure solutions group, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing design and development teams for transmission and distribution projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global organization like KBR Inc., known for delivering leading science, technology, and engineering solutions. In this role, you will be accountable for providing technical leadership and direction to project teams, enhancing the technical skills of the electrical team through support and training, particularly in the field of transmission line design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage design and development teams for transmission and distribution projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to project teams.
  • Enhance the technical skills of the electrical team through support and training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the transmission and distribution sector.
  • Extensive experience in relevant infrastructure project development and delivery.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in transmission and distribution.
  • Leadership experience in leading and managing design and development teams.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation (highly regarded).
  • A strong professional network in the utilities and renewable energy zone (REZ) space.
  • The ability to support business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the transmission lines and REZ sector.
  • Experience with building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
  • Experience with developing relationships, partners, and government entities in new markets.
