Job Title: Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at AUTOrecruit. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Perform diagnostics using advanced tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues
  • Repair and replace brake, steering, and suspension components
  • Electrical installations and repairs, including battery replacements and wiring work
  • Execute wheel alignments with precision
  • Perform suspension upgrades and modifications
  • Liaise with customers to explain repairs, provide estimates, and ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of all service work and repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
  • Assist in inventory management and maintain workshop cleanliness
  • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Automotive
  • Experience as an automotive technician (1-2 years post-certification preferred)
  • Proficient in wheel alignments and suspension systems
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Ability to work well in a team and a willingness to learn
  • Full Australian Drivers' Licence (manual & automatic)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
