About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Grants Management Unit as an Agreement Manager or Senior Agreement Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of grant agreements and the delivery of high-quality services to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage grant agreements with varying levels of complexity and sensitivity, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders, including service providers and program areas, to ensure the successful delivery of grant programs.
  • Assess and resolve complex and sensitive issues that impact programs or grant agreements, developing creative solutions in partnership with Regional Office engagement teams and relevant program areas.
  • Supervise staff, develop staff, build team capacity through coaching, performance feedback, and encouraging career development.
  • Support the EL1 GMU Team Leader to oversee and guide the day-to-day operational activities of a team to deliver high-quality services and grants implementation.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of grant agreement management, the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and financial delegations.
  • Ability to manage financial statements and use online data management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work flexibly and responsively to achieve results.
  • Cultural competency, including a good understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, cultures, and history, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Sound judgement and professionalism, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
