Project Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract involvement to close-out. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction and water main installation, with a proven track record of managing brownfield projects.

  • Lead project teams to drive delivery excellence, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, overseeing activities such as design coordination, project planning, and delivery execution.
  • Contribute to tender preparation, methodology development, and construction program planning, ensuring constructability and risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of contracts, scopes of work, schedules, and annexures, ensuring compliance and effective execution.
  • Coordinate and manage the design review process, integrating client requirements, constructability feedback, and delivery constraints.
  • Lead project risk management, identifying potential issues early and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage complex brownfield construction environments, coordinating service relocations and temporary works to minimize disruption and maintain safety.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial performance, approving invoices and tracking variations.
  • Work with procurement teams to centralize purchasing, minimizing unnecessary spend and optimizing project resources.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and onboarding, ensuring compliance with insurance, licensing, and WHS requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports for senior management, outlining progress, risks, opportunities, and financial performance.
  • Ensure QA and HSEC compliance across all project aspects, setting up systems and documentation from day one.
  • Lead safety behavior on site by setting high standards, communicating expectations, and supporting teams to deliver safe outcomes.
