Job Summary
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Registered Nurse to provide nursing support and care for clients of the Geelong Withdrawal Unit and support clients seeking to recover from addiction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that clients are welcomed into the program, feel listened to, and are actively involved in their recovery.
- Address clients' immediate medical needs.
- Carry out clinical observations and ensure results are accurately reported.
- Liaise with Police, Ambulance and other professionals to ensure the safe care of clients.
- Identify any risks to clients, staff and The Salvation Army and report risks and incidents to the Nursing Coordinator.
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent in Nursing and a current Div 1 certificate.
- A Cert IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Competencies CHCAOD 2 C, 6 B, 8 C, 9 C AND 10 A.
- AHPRA Registered.
- A Victorian Employee Working with Children check.
- Experience in the AOD sector service delivery and skills in managing challenging behaviours.
