About the Role

Ravenswood School for Girls is a leading educational institution seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Years 10-12 Coordinator. As a key member of the Senior School team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Senior School and contributing to the academic and personal growth of students in Years 10-12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Head of Senior School in coordinating the activities of Year Coordinators, Assistant Year Coordinators, and Mentors in Years 10-12.
  • Collaborate with the Ravenswood Wellbeing Unit to develop and implement programs that promote student wellbeing and support staff in addressing social/emotional/behavioral concerns.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and staff to resolve issues and provide guidance on student wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement programs for student wellbeing in conjunction with the Head of Positive Education and Visible Wellbeing.
  • Support the Deputy – Teaching and Learning, the Learning Enrichment team, and other academic staff in the support of students in Years 10-12.
  • Manage student behavior and discipline in consultation with the Head of Senior School.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Education and registration with NESA.
  • Proactive and innovative approach to education and student wellbeing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in a Year Coordination role or similar position.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to positive education and wellbeing, with a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area.
  • Understanding of the legislative framework and best practices regarding safeguarding, welfare, health, and safety of children and young people in schools.
  • Leadership skills in the area of Child Protection and collaboration with Wellbeing staff in the management of students at risk.
  • Effective classroom teaching skills, with a solid understanding of the curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate curriculum in the classroom and cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Passion for teaching and a creative, enthusiastic approach to education.
