Business Services Tax Accountants play a pivotal role in providing accounting and taxation services to small business clients nationwide.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with clients, specialist teams, and client account managers to deliver professional and efficient services.
- Key responsibilities include building relationships with clients, collaborating with bookkeepers, other accountants, and support staff to deliver quality services
- Direct the work of Client Account Managers and manage queries in line with client needs
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
- Tertiary accounting qualifications and professional membership (CAANZ, CPA, IPA)
- Good knowledge of small business accounting and tax, preferably with companies and trusts in a public practice environment
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Xero and Xero Practice Manager (or other cloud software) experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and the Australian tax system
