Technical Sales Specialist

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for managing industrial customer accounts, providing technical advice, and coordinating end-to-end sales and product support activities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering tailored solutions, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the growth of national sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop relationships with industrial clients, providing advice on product selection and application.
  • Promote and sell conveyor belting, drive components, and other power transmission solutions.
  • Prepare quotations and process sales orders using internal ERP and CRM systems.
  • Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and provide technical after-sales support.
  • Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, and workshop teams to ensure timely fulfilment and product availability.
  • Resolve product returns, service requests, and warranty issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor market trends and support the development of territory-based sales strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical or industrial product sales (B2B), preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with business systems including ERP and CRM software.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
