Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team of tutors as an Assistant Tutor. As a secondary tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting student learning by acting as a secondary tutor during classes, helping address student questions and clarifying concepts while the primary tutor teaches.

You will also conduct 1-on-1 video consultations outside of class hours, provide ongoing text-based support to answer student questions promptly after class, and proofread and review learning materials to ensure quality and accuracy.

Additional support provided to students outside of scheduled class hours is completely free for students, and you'll be fully compensated for your time and effort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support student learning by acting as a secondary tutor during classes
  • Conduct 1-on-1 video consultations outside of class hours
  • Provide ongoing text-based support to answer student questions
  • Proofread and review learning materials to ensure quality and accuracy
Requirements:
  • High academic achievement (ATAR of 98+)
  • Strong knowledge of VCE Maths Methods and/or VCE Specialist Maths (Raw Study Score of 43+)
  • First Year Uni Maths/Engineering/Physics Knowledge or Above
  • Tutoring Experience in VCE Maths Methods and/or VCE Specialist Maths
  • Academic Awards in Maths
Work Environment:

Multiple roles are available across various Victorian campuses: Point Cook, Narre Warren, Glen Waverley, Box Hill, and Melbourne CBD. This role also offers a hybrid work-from-home component, for proofreading, consultations, and text-based support.
