We are seeking a skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our team as a DBT Group Facilitator for our DBT Day Program.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in delivering group-based therapeutic interventions in a mental health setting, with a focus on DBT skills training. They will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-facilitate DBT Skills Groups with a focus on teaching participants alternative behaviors to manage emotions, relationships, and crises effectively
  • Develop and implement group plans, including module planning and facilitation
  • Provide support to participants, including crisis management and individual support as needed
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, including APHRA registration where appropriate
  • Experience delivering group-based therapeutic interventions in a mental health setting
  • High level of organisation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience facilitating DBT skills groups (highly desirable)
  • Completed certified DBT training (desirable)
