Software Developer Role

This is a mid-level role focused on modern iOS native development with Swift for the Blua mobile client, working with feature teams to build new and existing features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a scrum team to code, analyse, design, and support the Blua mobile application and feature teams.
  • Identify process and system improvements for the native iOS Swift domain.
  • Collaborate with mobile team members, provide mentoring and training, and lead development activities when appropriate.
  • Provide analysis and act as a Subject Matter Expert to assist feature estimations for Blua mobile changes.
  • Participate in mobile scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Contribute to system analysis, technical design, and documentation with realistic estimates, supported by Senior Engineers.
  • Ensure technical designs comply with application architectural principles and follow design specifications and feature criteria.
  • Undertake manual and automated testing per agreed unit test coverage and maintain artefacts for audit compliance.
  • Ensure deliverables meet Quality Assurance requirements.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in iOS native Swift development.
  • Experience with other mobile languages is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a team.
