Key Professional for Child and Family Services

We are seeking a key professional to join our team in Mount Isa. As part of this team, you will work closely with external stakeholders to increase and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of children. Your expertise in working with children and young people will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.

This role is ideal for professionals who have experience working with vulnerable populations and wish to make a meaningful contribution to improving the lives of children and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive quality program planning and implementation to enhance service delivery
  • Coach, train, and develop colleagues to increase their skill and competency for delivering high-quality services
  • Maintain operational stakeholder relationships critical to the program's success
  • Coordinate staff caseloads and program logistics, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, and child protection
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or significant experience working in a similar service
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
  • Strong understanding of the Youth Justice system, orders, and bail obligations
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop a team, as well as work effectively in a team
  • Ability to utilize your skills, knowledge, understanding, and experience working with families that are living with trauma to influence and guide practitioners for safe and ethical practice
