About the Role

As a Data Platform Project Manager, you will lead a team to implement a new Enterprise Data Platform, working closely with the Director, Business Intelligence. Your primary responsibility will be coordinating projects related to data governance, technology implementation, and data feeds.

The successful candidate will possess high-level skills in data project management, with experience in establishing new enterprise data platforms processing diverse data sets. They will also have expertise in resource management, risk identification, stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Refine the scope, goals, and objectives of the project to ensure a robust Enterprise Data Platform is established over the next 2 years.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including technical staff and budget, to ensure project delivery using agile project management methodologies.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain communication and reporting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage timeframes and deliverables to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure testing occurs to ensure quality of solutions.
  • Maintain documentation throughout development for handover to business as usual.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated agile project management experience in a data platform environment.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing resources, risks, stakeholders, communication in a complex organisational structure.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills to recommend innovative approaches to data management and processing issues.
  • Understanding of data modelling and master data management principles within an enterprise data environment.
  • Stakeholder management with well-developed interpersonal skills.
