Job Title: Trainee Video Editor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Video Editor. As a Trainee Video Editor, you will assist with editing, versioning, and mastering on-air promos, ensuring the technical quality of promos are ready for broadcast.

About the Role:
  • Assist with editing on-air promos to the required specifications, including placement of time supers, classifications, and audio.
  • Create different versions of promos, changing the relevant time and date details according to when the promo will be aired.
  • Ensure any abnormalities or grading issues on the promo are corrected and the technical quality of the promo is ready for broadcast.
  • Use tailored applications with an opportunity to receive an introduction to back-end support for these applications.
About You:
  • You will have 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar video editing position.
  • You will have a tertiary qualification related to the field or equivalent work experience.
  • You will have experience with Avid Media Composer (preferred).
  • You will have a solid foundation of computer-savvy skills, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in digital technology.
  • You will have an enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and adapt to new software and hardware.
  • You will be a team player who is eager to learn and grow in their career.
  • You will have experience or interest in coding.
