We are seeking a transport planner to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting clients to access transport services.

The successful candidate will report to the transport manager and be responsible for preparing and monitoring daily transport schedules for service users and drivers. You will create cost-effective routes to meet service user needs, utilizing an electronic routing system and handling last-minute changes, cancellations, and additional pick-ups or drop-offs.

You will also support clients to access dedicated community transport services by scheduling their trips and providing dispatch assistance to clients and drivers.

Key responsibilities include:

Transport Scheduling

Create daily transport schedules for service users and drivers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.

Routing Optimization

Develop cost-effective routes to meet service user needs, utilizing electronic routing systems and adapting to last-minute changes.

Dispatch Support

Provide dispatch assistance to clients and drivers, ensuring seamless transportation experiences.

Client Support

Support clients to access dedicated community transport services, addressing their transportation needs and concerns.

Communication

Maintain effective communication with clients, drivers, and transport managers, ensuring clear understanding of transportation requirements.

Problem-Solving

Address and resolve transportation-related issues promptly, minimizing disruptions and ensuring smooth operations.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining high standards of client care and safety.
