Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Partner to join our team at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
This role will provide strategic procurement advice, guidance, support, and category management leadership across QUT's Property and Facilities spend, which exceeds $100 million.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director – Facilities Management and Director – Campus Services and their direct reports to deliver procurement and contract management leadership, expertise, advice, guidance, and risk management.
The Procurement Partner will be responsible for providing an agile and responsive service to the evolving needs of QUT, leveraging their expertise in procurement and sourcing to drive business outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned procurement professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of QUT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders
- Lead category management initiatives to drive cost savings and efficiency
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
- Manage contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver procurement outcomes
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualifications in procurement and sourcing or a related business or law discipline
- Extensive relevant experience in procurement category management, including experience across Property and Facilities categories
- Demonstrated high-level business acumen and leadership skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
