Job Summary
">As a pivotal leader, the Group Manager plays a key role in guiding teams through transformative change and empowering Store Managers to achieve success.
The ideal candidate will possess previous retail leadership experience, with exposure to multi-site operations within a large-scale or complex environment. A proven track record of leading and embedding change, collaborating with diverse teams, and leveraging influencing skills to drive results is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy
The Group Manager will provide strategic guidance and support to zone and state teams, driving business outcomes through effective coaching and motivation. This includes delivering strategy by partnering with stakeholders, using data-driven insights to inform operational decisions, and fostering a culture of innovation and improvement.
People Development
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing talent management strategies, unlocking diverse skills sets within the group, and creating a strong, capable, and sustainable talent pipeline.
Safety and Wellbeing
Safety will be a top priority for the Group Manager, who will ensure that teams and customers are supported through correct process following. Additionally, the role will focus on promoting wellbeing and providing resources to manage priorities and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Community Engagement
The Group Manager will lead by example, supporting the group to engage in key community events and promote a sense of purpose and belonging among team members.
Digital Transformation
Effective navigation of change initiatives will be critical to the Group Manager's success, as they will support store leadership teams to actively enable digital transformation and stay at the forefront of evolving customer needs and trends.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, balancing data use with intuition and environmental awareness. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across broad audiences and collaborate with diverse groups.
