Greencross Fairy Meadow presents an exceptional opportunity for qualified veterinarians to engage in a flexible role, focusing either solely on general practice or participating in both general and emergency care within our advanced Animal Referral Hospital.

Located in the picturesque Wollongong area, our facility has been recently renovated and features state-of-the-art amenities, including 9 spacious consultation rooms, distinct wards for dogs and cats, CT imaging, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, an intensive care unit, three surgical suites, a dedicated dental and endoscopy room, Tonovet plus, and in-house pathology and orthopedic equipment for advanced procedures. Our emergency service operates every weeknight and throughout the weekend, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of 24-hour care without the need for after-hours responsibilities.

We prioritize collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes for both our patients and our team. The well-being of our staff is paramount, and we maintain an effective schedule that guarantees proper lunch breaks, offer outstanding continuing education programs, provide 5 weeks of annual and study leave (pro rata), and conduct mental health first aid courses. Position Overview

This role is ideally suited for a veterinarian with a minimum of 1 year of post-graduation experience, who is adept at consulting, diagnosing, and treating companion animals independently, while receiving comprehensive support from our extensive team of experienced veterinarians and nurses, with no sole charge responsibilities.

Utilizing evidence-based practices, you will be empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentorship of your colleagues, along with immediate access to our specialist network, ensuring that even the most seasoned veterinarians can continue to learn and grow.

Compensation for Registrations: You will have the option to have your AVA membership fees or state Veterinary Board registration costs covered annually, along with complimentary VIN membership.

Qualifications Required:

To be eligible for this position, you must possess Veterinary Science qualifications from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards' Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE, AVE, or equivalent examinations.
