We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Male Hair Stylist to join our team at Precision Barbershop PTY Ltd in Tweed Heads NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair cutting, styling, and colouring services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, colour, and shape hair or hairpieces based on customers' instructions, hair type, and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers, razors, and professional colour brands.
- Condition, shampoo, bleach, and work with chemical solutions for permanent and keratin straightening.
- Perform services including haircut, shaving, colouring, shampooing, trimming beards and moustaches as per latest trends and styles.
- Design traditional and contemporary hairstyles for men and women.
- Analyse clients' hair and physical features to determine and recommend hair treatment or suggest hairstyles.
- Listen to clients' requests and help them understand the right style for their hair, offering a catalogue of different hairstyles to know their taste.
- Train other staff members regarding hair products and train juniors/assistants to take their career to the next level of hairdressing.
- Schedule client appointments.
- Update and maintain customer information records, such as hair services provided.
- Work under the supervision of management, answer phone calls, and assist other staff's work.
- Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons.
- Demonstrate and sell hair care products, upselling salon products and services to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Develop new styles and techniques with ongoing training.
- Handle clients with great care, developing good relationships, greeting and welcoming customers into the waiting area, serving complementary coffee and tea, and taking coats.
- Keep the salon and equipment safe and clean.
- Educate clients on products, leading to sales and client satisfaction, flyer distribution, and promotional work to increase clientele and promote re-booking and loyalty in clients.
Requirements:
- Education: Certificate III + 2 years on-job training or Certificate IV.
- Australian Experience: At least 3+ years of Australian Experience OR Overseas Experience: At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience.
- Specialist: Barber.
- Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per annum.
