About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Patient Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Communication with medical staff, both onsite and off-site
  • Answering enquiries, coordinating courier and medical centre collections, pathology results assistance
  • General administration duties
  • Maintaining customer confidentiality
  • Liaising with laboratory staff

To excel in this role, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • Sound typing/data entry skills (approximately 50 wpm with 98% accuracy)
  • Previous experience or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels of an organisation
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Strong customer focus and general office skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also be highly organised and able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
