The Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Legal Assistants to join our Brisbane team. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our lawyers and providing high-quality support to our clients. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering high-quality work, managing deadlines and competing priorities, and assisting partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Manage the billing process for your direct team, including clients with specific billing requirements.
  • Assist partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements.
  • Manage partners' internal and external appointments, including travel and diary management.
  • Assist with meeting preparation and the coordination of post-meeting actions.

Requirements

  • Experience in a legal secretary or legal administrative position is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to think ahead.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond to changing circumstances and work to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
