Job Title: Skilled Machinist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products primarily through laser cladding and manual post cladding machine works.

The ideal candidate will have experience in laser cladding or metal spray technologies, be self-motivated and adaptable, and possess excellent teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and setup machines efficiently to minimize setup times and maximize productivity.
  • Carry out machining of components according to drawings and client requirements.
  • Monitor and improve tooling parameters and cutting conditions on running jobs.
  • Liaise with our CAM-Programmer regarding machining processes, machine setups, toolpaths, material properties, current, and new tooling.
  • Ensure compliance with all record-keeping requirements and complete reports accordingly.
  • Liaise with management regarding upcoming, ongoing, and completed jobs, providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with laser cladding or metal spray technologies and proficiency in manual lathe operation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Relevant trade qualification, preferably additional certificates in CNC-machining and engineering practices.
  • Programming experience using G codes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to participate in a high-performance customer-oriented team.
