As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a wider network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific activities will include:

  • Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time
  • Take lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and support larger projects
  • Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Be a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers
  • Build solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities (desirable)
Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical design services across various projects

• Develop and implement effective strategies to deliver best practices and meet client expectations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

• Foster positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their growth and development

Requirements

- Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering

- Possess demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems

- Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines

- Prove proven project experience in the building services sector

- Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards

- Ensure registration in the professional engineer register of the relevant state

- Demonstrate a history of managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines
