Mental Health Professionals (Psychological Therapies)

Career Description

This organisation is seeking mental health professionals who are committed to delivering client-centred mental health services. The successful candidate will work as part of a Regional Provider Network, integrating different aspects of the mental health care system to deliver a cohesive and easy-to-access system of mental health care.


The organisation is currently recruiting for various roles based in Cairns or Mackay, including Psychologists (various levels), Accredited Mental Health Nurses, Mental Health Occupational Therapists, and Accredited Mental Health Social Workers. They are also looking to hire Journey Coordinators based in Townsville.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Delivering quality client-centred mental health assessment, treatment, and/or case coordination services.
  2. Working collaboratively with other health professionals to provide comprehensive mental health care.
  3. Providing culturally sensitive and adaptable care to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:
  • Registration as a Registered Psychologist, Mental Health Accredited Nurse, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, or Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively establish and support respectful and trusting relationships with individuals, teams, and partners.
  • A genuine commitment to a new way of working in the mental health sector.
  • Experience working with First Nations Australians, people with lived experience, those who come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and/or represent the LGBTQI+ community is warmly embraced.
