About the Role

The City of Whittlesea is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering on our strategic vision of integrated services hubs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for Service Hubs operating in the City of Whittlesea.
  • Identify and progress opportunities for internal and external partnerships and collaboration for Service Hubs.
  • Provide oversight and staff supervision of Service Hubs.
  • Maintain existing relationships and tenancy agreements with Service Hub partners.
  • Network and promote Service Hubs to service providers, including involvement in the Whittlesea Community Futures Partnership, local area planning, and other networks as required and relevant to the role.
  • Ensure that the Service Hub tenants and services respond to community needs and align to Council plans.
  • Identify and support opportunities for collaboration and coordination of programs and services within and beyond the hubs.
Requirements
  • You will have a passion for building strong communities and championing initiatives.
  • You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • You will have a strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • You will have experience in partnership development and management.
  • You will have a high level of organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
