Tile Installation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Tile Installation Specialist to join our team at NSW Health.

  • The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of tile installation, particularly with epoxy or high-performance chemical-resistant systems.
  • A strong background in applying water-washable epoxy grout and adhesive systems for ceramic tile installation is essential.
  • Proficiency in installing waterproofing membranes (e.g., rubberised bituminous, polyurethane-based) under tiles and renders is also required.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience preparing substrates, cleaning, applying primers, and grouting according to technical specifications.
  • Maintaining site safety, hygiene, and quality control on demanding job sites is crucial.
About the Role

This role involves working in commercial kitchens, aquatic centres, food processing plants, and industrial facilities.

The Tile Installation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring proper curing and finish quality, even in low-temperature environments.

They will operate with a single point of responsibility mindset—supporting projects from tiling to waterproofing.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to tile installation and waterproofing
  • Collaborating with project teams to achieve project goals
  • Providing expert advice on tile installation and waterproofing best practices
Ideal Candidate:
  • Demonstrated expertise in tile installation, especially using epoxy or high-performance chemical-resistant systems
  • Experience working with trowel-applied toppings, renders, or epoxy coatings
  • Strong attention to detail in preparation, mixing, and finish—ensuring clean, durable installations
  • Comfortable working in commercial kitchens, aquatic centres, or food-industry environments
  • WHS awareness and ability to follow on-site safety protocols
