We are seeking a motivated and skilled procurement professional to take on the role of Senior Project Buyer, focusing on Signalling and Infrastructure projects across the ANZ region. This position offers a hybrid working model and is based in our Perth CBD office, where you will collaborate with a dedicated and experienced team.

This role is a fixed-term position aimed at supporting one of Alstom's major signalling initiatives, working closely with project teams to facilitate procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and updates.
  • Prepare and initiate Requests for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Conduct project negotiations in accordance with Australian and UK standards.
  • Consolidate commodity requirements and inputs.
  • Actively participate in the development of commodity strategies and panels.
  • Support relationships with global supplier panels.
  • Manage specific supplier relationships, including negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define procurement strategies and assist in make-or-buy decisions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar procurement or sourcing role.
  • Operational knowledge of rail components or design.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience within the railway sector or similar industrial projects.
  • A proven track record in managing maintenance projects.
