The Opportunity

Pirtek, a leading Australian company with over 44 years of experience and 107 locations across the country, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Centre Technician to join their Service & Supply Centre team in Blackwater.

The Role

As a Centre Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to customers, providing solutions, and building relationships with a diverse range of clients. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in hose assembly, machine/weld, and pipe-bending procedures. You will also be expected to assist customers at the counter and over the phone, as well as pick up and deliver goods as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operation of the Hose Service Centre
  • Learn and master hose assembly, machine/weld, and pipe-bending procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service at the counter and over the phone
  • Pick up and deliver goods as required

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
  • A strong understanding of customer service principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to carry out instructions and work independently
  • A knowledge of the industry or similar type
  • Mechanical background and ability to operate machinery
  • Current Manual Driver's Licence
  • Computer literacy and good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Well-presented and groomed
  • Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Ability to maintain neat and tidy dress and appearance in line with Pirtek Dress Code Policy
