About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in leading the day-to-day operations of the club and ensuring the safety of members, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in leading the club's operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional member experiences.
  • Manage and develop staff within the club, including recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, customer service, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing communication with the Senior General Manager, Heads of Departments, and staff, as required.
  • Ensure the development, implementation, delivery, and achievement of the Annual Operating Plan.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience driving team results and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster between the hours of 5am-10pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop team members and effectively manage team member performance.
  • Strong customer service skills and relevant experience in the fields of fitness, hospitality, sport management, or leisure management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Management, Business, Sports Management, or Fitness are highly desirable.
