Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to perform and assist with maintenance, repair and servicing of mobile plant and longwall equipment in various locations. The successful candidate will work on customer sites or in the workshop as required.


Responsibilities
  • Perform breakdown repairs, scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on underground mining equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Work both underground and on surface to maintain equipment.
  • Complete all job-related documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Heavy Vehicle Trade Certification (Diesel Fitter/Mechanic).
  • Demonstrated experience on underground mining equipment (mobile & longwall).
  • A current RII DES certification and proven competency CP Status (Competent Person).
  • Knowledge of mine safety regulations and site compliance.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various field locations.
