Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is a forward-thinking organization committed to creating a sustainable energy future for Australia. We are currently seeking a Market Service Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) in Western Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and managing commercial solutions for the procurement of capacity services and essential system services in the WEM. You will lead commercial negotiations for the procurement of capacity and market services, while ensuring all technical requirements are contractually captured and manage the tender process.
You will act as the key interface between legal, metering, settlements, markets, and engineering teams throughout the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, and develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also support and provide operational advice for procurement of capacity and essential system services and operationalize signed agreements into AEMO contract management systems and databases.
We are looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications supported by significant experience in commercial management, preferably in large-scale energy related contracts within the WEM or National Electricity Market. You should have knowledge of the Wholesale Electricity Market Rules (WEM) and demonstrated commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
