We are a childcare centre licensed for 36 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a food coordinator where you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals for the children in our care.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack that meet the dietary needs of our children.
  • Cooking in a timely manner to ensure the centre's routines are maintained.
  • Maintain a high level of health & safety standards at all times during meal preparation and service.
  • Ensure all food is stored in compliance with Health Regulations.
  • Complete weekly food orders and manage inventory levels.
  • Complete and file all checklists to maintain proof of compliance with our centre's food plan.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A passion for creating healthy meals for children.
  • Holding relevant food handling certificates (or willing to obtain one).
  • Experience cooking for a childcare setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A current WA working with children check (or willing to obtain one).
  • Allergy awareness knowledge/training (or willing to obtain one).
  • Knowledge and understanding of nutritional standards and menu planning.

Our menus are reviewed and revised throughout the year to ensure they meet the changing needs of our children.
